Introducing: Sorbaix
By now, most companies have run at least one formal AI pilot. Some organizations have run multiple and may even have a few in production.
But a surprisingly low number of companies we’ve spoken with have confidence that their business has materially changed as a result of early AI adoption.
Of course AI has helped people write better, respond faster, and analyze data at a scale unimaginable before. These productivity improvements demonstrate the ease and accessibility of using AI. But these use cases only highlight a portion of AI’s capability.
Productivity won’t win you the race;it just allows you to stay in it a while longer.
Most organizations want both operational efficiency and transformation. They believe AI may be a means to get there, and they need help proving that theory, how to get started.
The common failure we see isn’t about moving too slowly (or too quickly). It’s moving in a direction that isn’t well defined or tied to a business strategy.
Before the first “prompt” is ever written, organizations need to discuss what the business is actually trying to achieve and why. Not the technical solution. Not what AI is capable of. An honest assessment of the company’s existing assets and if the organization can absorb the changes required.
That gap is why Sorbaix exists.
Who we are
Sorbaix is a business and technology consulting firm focused on automation and artificial intelligence. It’s founder-led: that’s me, Eric.
The firm and brand are new. What stands behind them is not.
When you read “we” across the site, it means “me”, the people we partner with (and work under the Sorbaix name), and most importantly you.
Being small is the point, not an apology. You get the person who scoped the work doing the work.
We’re built for organizations with real operational complexity, lacking a large internal AI or IT team leading the way. If you already run mature ML pipelines in your organization, you likely don’t need us.
If you have many different systems, a lot of institutional knowledge living in people’s heads, and a leadership team asking what the AI plan is or where to start, that’s a conversation we’re great at.
What you’ll find here
In addition to a landing page for the company, we intend to share things like honest field notes, concrete implementation ideas. Provocative thoughts. We’ll skip the vendor summaries and “Top 10 things” lists you can get anywhere.
What next?
If any of the above sounds like a conversation worth having, please reach out. We’re happy to talk before there’s a project in it.
